Vishal Jindal, an alumnus of IIT and a Syracuse University MBA graduate, co-established Biryani By Kilo in 2015, quickly propelling it to the ranks of India's prominent food brands. Despite their ongoing success, Jindal is setting his sights on achieving a remarkable turnover of Rs 1000 crore within the next two to three years. Prior to his venture with Biryani By Kilo, he steered Bhartiya Electronics Pvt Ltd to significant growth, transforming it into a sizable company with a workforce of 100 and offices across major cities. In 1994, he contributed to the U.S. business landscape as a marketing associate for Amano Cincinnati Inc.

Jindal's academic journey encompasses engineering at IIT, an MBA from Syracuse University in New York, and a financial education at the London School of Economics.

As of the financial year 2023, Biryani By Kilo anticipates revenue reaching Rs 300 crore, despite currently grappling with losses. Their strategy includes breaking even by June 2023. The company manages a daily influx of over 10,000 orders, each averaging Rs 700-750 in value, through its 100 outlets spread across more than 45 cities in India.

Reflecting on their financial history, the company earned Rs 135 crore in FY 2022 and Rs 65.6 crore in FY 21. Despite the existing financial challenges, the determination to achieve a turnover of Rs 1000 crore in the next 2-3 years remains a focal point for Jindal and his team. This narrative not only underscores Jindal's entrepreneurial journey but also emphasizes the ambitious aspirations of the company.
