Happy 63rd Birthday to Droupadi Murmu
Ranchi, 20th June 2024: Today, the entire state of Jharkhand is celebrating the 63rd birthday of their beloved Governor Droupadi Murmu Ji. The day started with a special prayer for her good health and long life, followed by a grand celebration at Raj Bhavan, Ranchi.
Born on 20th June 1961 in a small village of Mayurbhanj district in Odisha, Droupadi Murmu Ji is known for her dedication towards the welfare of the tribal community. She completed her graduation in Arts from Utkal University and later obtained a degree in Education from Ranchi University. She has been associated with various social organizations and has been actively working for the upliftment of tribal people.
In 2015, she joined Bharatiya Janata Party and was appointed as the Vice-President of BJP's Odisha unit. In the same year, she was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Rairangpur constituency. In 2017, she was appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand, becoming the first woman from Odisha to hold this position.
Under her leadership, Jharkhand has seen significant progress in various sectors. She has been instrumental in improving the health and education infrastructure in the state, especially in the rural areas. Her efforts have resulted in the establishment of new medical colleges and hospitals in remote areas, which have helped in providing better healthcare facilities to the people.
